Loki Season 2 Episode 6 Recap: What Happened in 'Glorious Purpose'?
The entire Loki series has led to the ultimate ending for Loki, the God of Mischief, to fulfill his greatest purpose, which we got to witness once the Season 2 finale came about.
Loki Season 2 Episode 6 titled Glorious Purpose essentially marked the end of both the Loki series and the God of Mischief's journey, as well. So, here's a little recap and ending explanation of what happened:
Loki Masters Time-Slipping
Thanks to the events of Loki Season 2 Episode 5, O.B. was able to help the God of Mischief to think about how Time-Slipping works, despite this ability occurring in a place where time doesn't even exist.
The first thing that came to Loki's mind was to keep reliving the final moments of Victor Timely before he turned into spaghetti whenever he came out of the TVA.
The problem here is that Loki took O.B.'s words too literally by claiming that Victor would have to be quicker to stop the branching timelines from expanding.
Unfortunately, even though Loki went back centuries just to learn how the mechanism of engineering worked, Victor Timely's success in putting the Temporal Loom in place didn't save the TVA, either.
Loki May Have To Kill Sylvie aka Lady Loki
Loki slipped through time, back to the events of the first season where he and Sylvie first faced the true identity of who runs the TVA: He Who Remains, the earliest Kang the Conqueror variant introduced into the series.
As much as Loki kept going on and on again trying to talk some sense into Sylvie to not kill He Who Remains, the Kang variant eventually stopped Loki from time-slipping, telling him that the God of Mischief had two options:
Loki could either kill the branching timelines himself or kill Sylvie.
You can probably guess what he chose to do.
What Could Possibly Save the TVA?
In the middle of the episode, Loki time-slipped right back to when he and Mobius were having their first time talking together.
At that moment, Loki tried to gather some clues as to what he could do to keep the TVA safely on the Sacred Timeline.
Mobius tells the story of when Ravonna Renslayer hesitated in killing the Variant responsible for a thousand deaths.
Despite her main purpose to keep the timeline straight, her refusal to comply with the order of things brought even more chaos than what initially ensued.
Loki Achieves His Glorious Purpose
Eventually, Loki figures it out. He has to step up to the plate and sacrifice himself.
In doing so, Loki walked through the Loom without the need for the suit that Mobius and Victor Timely had to use just to survive.
Instead, what came out of Loki's walking down this path is gaining a whole new identity for him within the Marvel Cinematic Universe: as the God of Stories.

What Happens After Loki Season 2 Episode 6? Is There a Next Episode?
Post-Credit scenes have always been evident in every Marvel movie and series in existence. It has not only turned into tradition among MCU diehards, but it teases what fans should expect to see next in the ever-growing franchise.
While Loki Season 2 had one post-credit scene in the entire run, this indicates that Season 2 might be the last of the Loki series.
If we were to see Loki burdened with a glorious purpose, he would probably appear on a different timeline or perhaps in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to face the final battle against one of the biggest villains the MCU is facing at this moment.

Where To Watch All Episodes of Loki Season 2
Disney+ has exclusive rights to all Marvel shows and series, which includes Loki Season 2. All episodes of the God of Mischief's second season will only be made exclusively to stream on Disney+.
The streamer has had another price hike this year. Starting on October 12th, Disney Plus is going from $10.99 per month to $13.99, while the annual ad-free plan is going from $109.99 to $139.99.
Additionally, the Hulu no-ads tier increases from $14.99 a month to $17.99.
