Unlike the other live-action MCU shows, Loki was able to get a second season and fans will be able to witness the next chapter of the God of Mischief and the TVA gang's adventures in the multiverse.

One of the questions that fans have regarding the new season is Jonathan Majors' involvement in the series and his future in the MCU in the aftermath of his controversies months ago.

While the trailer revealed that he will still show up as Victor Timely in the upcoming season, some are wondering whether they were considering recasting him or they are simply retaining his MCU casting to see how his issue plays out.

Now, we have the answer from one of the executive producers, and, not only that, it looks like the new season even set an impressive MCU record that no other shows have done.

In an interview with Variety, executive producer Kevin Wright was asked whether they were considering reshooting Majors' scenes in the upcoming season of Loki as a result of his ongoing legal issues.

Not only did he confirm that Majors' controversy did not lead to any changes to his character in the series, but he also revealed that the second season of Loki is the first MCU series to not have any reshoots.

"No. This is maybe — not maybe — this is the first Marvel series to never have any additional photography. The story that is on screen is the story we set out to make," Wright explained.

"We went out there with a very specific idea of what we wanted this to be, and we found a way to tell it in that production period. It’s very much what’s on screen on Disney+."

Regarding their decision to not make any changes to Majors' scenes in the new season, Wright said, "No. And that mainly came from — I know as much as you do at the moment. It felt hasty to do anything without knowing how all of this plays out."

Marvel Studios has been notorious for doing reshoots on their films and TV shows and it has become a standard part of their process so it is surprising that this new season didn't undergo it which suggests that they're happy with what was shot during production.

It is hard to tell whether this is good news or not regarding the overall results of the new season, but it is a sign that what they shot from the beginning was very much what they planned for the season during pre-production.

With the uncertainty surrounding Majors' ongoing issue, it looks like Marvel Studios is still standing by the actor's current status in the franchise and they will only take action depending on how the situation goes which is what we have suspected for months.

The second season of Loki will premiere this Thursday night, October 5 on Disney+.
