This coming Thursday night, the highly-anticipated second season of Loki will finally premiere and fans have been looking forward to finding out what next for the God of Mischief's multiversal adventure in the MCU.

Given the MCU TV shows' divisive track record recently, there is hope that the second season will go in the right direction and its quality will remain the same as the first season, which was well-received when it aired back in 2021.

Now we finally have the early reactions as several critics and journalists were able to watch the first four episodes in advance and shared their thoughts on social media to give us their impression based on what they saw from the upcoming season so far.

Fortunately, the early reactions to the second season of Loki have been mostly positive with some of them even hailing it as a return to form for the MCU TV shows after the disappointing reception of Secret Invasion.

Most of the praise went towards its visuals, Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson's continuing chemistry, pacing, darker tone, and story. Ke Huy Quan's performance as OB also received universal acclaim as they called him the MVP of the season amongst the cast.

Some critics also considered it to be better (if not as great) than the first season which is something that fans will be glad to hear.

All of these social media reactions sound very promising as it looks like the second season (or at least the four episodes) will deliver what fans have been hoping for and it might not be a disappointment like some of the recent MCU outputs.

While a majority of the reactions from the critics are positive, there is also a possibility that you may have a different response once you see the episodes yourselves and it's interesting to see how the general audience will respond.

It also helps that it is the second season of a continuing series so there's not a lot of set-up that they have to do and they can focus more on the new storyline that they're going to explore.

These responses should excite fans as we're now a couple of days away from its premiere and we can safely assume for now that we can expect a lot of enthusiastic reactions if we based it solely on these early impressions from critics.

The second season of Loki will premiere on Disney+ this Thursday night, October 5.
