This week, the highly-anticipated second season of Loki will finally premiere after years of excitement from fans who have been looking forward to the God of Mischief's next multiversal adventure following the cliffhanger of the first season finale.

Thanks to the trailers and TV promos that they released so far, we have gotten a glimpse of what we can expect for the new season such as Victor Timely's appearance and the introduction of Ke Huy Quan's OB.

However, one of the cast members that we still have not seen from the trailers is Kate Dickie, who is reportedly going to play Future Sylvie and become the main villain of the season.

Some fans have started to wonder whether the rumor is true since the actress has been absent in any of the promotional materials. Now, we have the clarification from one of the known scoopers.

According to a recent scoop from insider Daniel Richtman on his Patreon page (via @LokiBrasiI), Marvel Studios made some changes during the reshoots of the second season of Loki, particularly in Dickie's role.

He claimed that the actress is no longer playing Future Sylvie and her character has been changed to a TVA general who led a mission to "explode" tons of timelines successfully.

No explanation was given regarding why they made the changes to Dickie's character in the season. Marvel Studios has also not commented yet on the rumor.

If the scoop ends up being true, it is an interesting direction, especially for a character that seems to have a crucial role in the season and it is curious to see whether it means that the character of Future Sylvie has been cut entirely or they have recast it to Sophia Di Martino with old-age makeup.

However, with her new character being a TVA general who has pruned some timelines, it looks like they are still retaining her villainous role in the season.

There is also a possibility that the earlier scoop regarding Dickie's alleged role as Future Sylvie was wrong after all and her character has always been a TVA general when she was cast.

Fortunately, we're only a few days away before we will able to get more clarifications regarding Dickie's role in the season and finally find out what's the actual truth behind all of it.

The second season of Loki is set to premiere on Disney+ this coming Thursday night, June 5.
