The recently-aired fifth episode of Loki featured a callback to a pivotal scene in Avengers: Infinity War as it also saw some of the characters disappear into the strings of time as reality was falling apart in the aftermath of the temporal loom exploding.

During the climax of the episode, as Sylvie was listening to a record at a local record store in her timeline, her reality also started to disappear. She escaped through the Time Door and went to the timeline where Loki and the others are located.

As she arrived at OB's laboratory, Sylvie warned Loki and the others that everything was falling apart and they tried to find the TemPad to quickly return to TVA. However, as they were searching for it, Casey started to disappear similar to the scene in Infinity War when Thanos snapped.

OB, Mobius, and B-15 soon followed. Seconds before she also disappeared, Sylvie conceded that there was nothing that they could do at that point. Loki was left crying as he lost his friends again.

As he screamed in grief, Loki managed to time-slip again to seconds earlier and then a few minutes before the disappearance of his friends.

Loki realizes that he has resolved his time-slipping problem as he can finally control it by focusing on who he wants to travel back to. Afterward, he time-slipped back to the events before the temporal loom exploded.

As usual, Loki fans chimed in on social media to share their reactions over the recent fifth episode's surprising callback to the iconic ending of Infinity War which is also considered to be one of the best moments in the MCU of all time.

While things still worked out for the characters since Loki found a solution to his time-slipping, it was still a gripping moment for the audience due to the anxiety-inducing feeling that it gave.

The stakes were also higher during the moment since the entire reality was disappearing, not just half of the population.

Given that the fifth episode gave us an Infinity War callback, it poses a question now on whether the upcoming finale next week will be akin to Endgame in terms of the stakes or even just the experience of watching it.

The ending certainly gave us an idea of how they will resolve the problem and let's see whether they will be able to successfully fix the temporal loom since Loki is now aware of the outcome when it fails.
