Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Loki Season 2 Episode 3, so read at your own risk!

One of the mysteries that Loki season 2 is set to address is Ravonna Renslayer's whereabouts following the first season finale. The last time that we saw her, she disappeared somewhere to search for "free will."

So far, the character has not appeared in the first two episodes of the season, but we know that she will eventually appear since the trailers already gave us our first look at her scenes where she is seen wearing a period costume instead of the usual TVA judge uniform.

There's also a question on what kind of "free will" was she searching for and whether it has something to do with He Who Remains' task to her.

Now, the recently-aired third episode has finally given us an idea of what Renslayer was up to after all this time.

The third episode of Loki season 2 opened with Renslayer arriving at 1868 Chicago in the sacred timeline where she met Miss Minutes, who tasked her to deliver a package on a window in a house nearby as instructed by He Who Remains.

The reward that allegedly awaits Renslayer is a position at the top of the TVA alongside Miss Minutes when things are back to normal. After sliding the package to the window, we saw a young boy receiving it on the other side and opened it. It turned out to be the TVA manual by OB.

The next time that we saw Renslayer and Miss Minutes, they were watching Victor Timely's presentation of the temporal loom at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair in the branched timeline. Little did they know, they were also being followed by Loki and Mobius.

After Timely successfully tested the device in front of the crowd, Renslayer approached him, but he was interrupted by various businessmen who wanted to buy the rights to the patent.

A chaotic cat-and-mouse chase and fight ensued between Renslayer and Loki and Mobius as both sides have their agenda on Timely with the latter trying to bring him to the TVA to fix and overrun the temporal loom. Sylvie surprisingly showed up as she also wanted to kill the Kang variant.

In the end, Renslayer successfully grabbed Timely and they escaped to his house. She explained to him that his variant is the creator of the TVA and she has to be on his side to keep him safe.

Afterward, Renslayer, Timely, and Miss Minutes rode a boat to Wisconsin to go to Timely's laboratory and get the pruning device prototype before heading to TVA.

During their ride, Timely figured that it was Renslayer who gave the mysterious package when he was a child while Renslayer expressed her hope for a successful partnership between them.

However, later on, we see Renslayer being dropped from the boat after Miss Minutes convinces Timely to do it as she knows that he doesn't want to have any partners.

The episode ended with a climactic fight between Loki, Mobius, Renslayer, Sylvie, and Timely that resulted in Loki and Mobius grabbing Timely to the TVA while Sylvie sent Renslayer to the citadel where He Who Remains' corpse is still sitting in the same chair.

The final scene saw Miss Minutes teasing Renslayer that she has a "really big secret" about her and it's something that will make her angry. The screen fades to the end credits.

It is interesting to see what the mystery is behind the secret on Renslayer and it's a cliffhanger that fans will look forward to when they watch the next episode since it may have some ramifications for the rest of the season.
