Lee Do Hyun explained how he broke away from his Joo Yeo Jeong role in The Glory to portray a new role in The Good Bad Mother.
In the new JTBC series, Lee Do Hyun plays the role of Choi Kang Ho, the son of Jin Young Soon (Ra Mi Ran), who decides to be bad to protect and nurture him.

Lee Do Hyun Says His Characters in The Glory and The Good Bad Mother Differ
On Wednesday, The Good Bad Mother creators and cast members appeared in an online press conference during which Lee Do Hyun opened up about his character.
Per the actor, he broke away from his The Glory character with his current role.

"Kang-ho is a very dynamic character and he has elements of being bad too. I guess perhaps that both Kang-ho and Yeo-jeong studied very well is the one commonality," he explained, per Korea JoongAng Daily.
Despite having enough experience, Lee Do Hyun reportedly found acting very hard. However, he talked to his co-star and the director so he could act as someone young.
Lee Do Hyun Cried Due To "Poor Acting"
His comments resonated with what he told Esquire (via YTN) in a new interview. Lee Do Hyun told the magazine that he does poorly whenever he works on a project. And when he does, he reportedly cannot help but cry out of frustration.
He revealed that he cried after not being able to say his lines properly during the first filming. He reportedly opened up about it with Ra Mi Ran, who told him he just has to rest and not think about anything whenever he experiences that.
"After hearing Ra Mi Ran's words, I learned that I'd be able to catch [my emotions] once I loosened up and gently tried to hold them again," he went on.
The Good Bad Mother premiered on JYBC on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
