While it's thanks to its main stars, Park Seo-Joon and Han Seo-Hee in lead roles, its supporting cast also stands out. Who is Lady Maeda in Gyeongseong Creature?
Gyeongseong Creature takes place in 1945, a time when the Japanese ruled over Korea. As a part of the Netflix K-drama series' storytelling, the plot revolved around performing biochemical experiments on imprisoned Korean subjects.
The latest episode just revealed a deep dark secret about one of the most important Japanese characters in the series, aka Lady Yukkiko Maeda.
Lady Maeda happens to be directly tied to the Ongseong Hospital, and with her money, she's one of the reasons why the establishment keeps running.
A huge part of her role is closely related to how she treated Myeong-Ja (played by Ji Woo), one of the concubines that Lady Maeda's husband procured for himself, after getting pregnant with his child.
The Actress Who Plays Lady Maeda is a Multi-Franchise Star
Claudia Kim is quite a prominent actress who has previously starred in multiple franchises including Marvel (Avengers: Age of Ultron) as Dr. Helen Cho and in Harry Potter (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) as the villainous Nagini.
There is no doubt that Claudia Kim scored another break by joining the cast of Gyeongseong Creature where she portrays one of the most influential high-class figures in the series.

Did Lady Maeda Make Myeong-Ja Disappear in the Series?
Considering that Myeong-Ja is a Korean concubine, this puts Lady Maeda on top of the pedestal. With her power and money, she can do whatever she wants, even if it means making her husband's illegal child disappear from the picture.
Myeong-Ja, knowing full well that carrying a Japanese heir would secure her life and safety, was in no position to pass up on the opportunity.
That said, Lady Maeda still threw her into the hospital, unbeknownst to her about the monsters lurking underground.
Did Myeong-Ja Die in Gyeongseong Creature Part 1?
It is safe to say that Lady Maeda's attempt at making her disappear is proven fruitless as Myeong-Ja gets rescued by a Korean soldier by escaping her cell.
However, this does not ensure her future, especially since she ingested a particular serum that could turn her into the creature.
Needless to say, we'll have to wait until Part 2 of Gyeongseong Creature Season 1 comes into view before speculating anything about her ending.
