Gyeongseong Creature is one of the most anticipated Kdramas on Netflix this year. And now that the first part of the series has been released, viewers are asking more about the characters of the show. One of the characters they are interested in is Myeong Ja in Gyeongseong Creature.

Who is Myeong Ja in Gyeongseong Creature?
Gyeongseong Creature starts with Jang Tae-sang (played by Park Seo Jeon) getting tortured by the men of Police Commissioner Ishikawa (played by Kim Do Hyun) who are looking for Myeong Ja, the Japanese official's concubine.
They threaten to close down Master Jang's pawnshop and lose his assets if he doesn't locate Myeong Ja for the Police Commissioner. After all, she is carrying Ishikawa's baby.
Who Plays Myeong Ja in Gyeongseong Creature?
The character of Myeong Ja in Gyeongseong Creature is portrayed by Ji Woo, a 26-year-old Korean actress.
Many confused her with Lim Ji Yeon from The Glory since they looked similar. But now that people know the role is portrayed by Ji Woo, they are happy with how she gave life and depth to such an important role in the show.
Aside from Gyeongseong Creature, Ji Woo has made a name for herself by starring in other shows like Pure Pumpkin Flower, The First Responders, and Hello! My Twenties. These are just a few of her projects in her background.

What Happened to Myeong Ja in Gyeongseong Creature?
When Gyeongseong Creature started, Ishikawa was looking for Myeong Ja. What he didn't know, however, was that she was taken by his wife, Yukkiko Maeda (played by Soo Hyun).
After learning about Myeong Ja's pregnancy, Maeda gets her thrown into Onseong Hospital. She asks the hospital director, Ichiro (played by Hyun Bong-sik) to take care of Myeong Ja until she gives birth. It's possible that Maeda plans to take Myeong Ja's baby since she and Ishikawa don't have a child of their own.
As it turns out, Maeda is funding the hospital and Ichiro's experiments. This is why Ichiro follows her orders around without asking who Myeong Ja is.
When Master Jang confirms Myeong Ja is in the hospital, he leads a rescue mission along with Yoon Chae Ok (played by Han So Hee), Yoon Jung Won (played by Jo Han Chul), and Kwon Jun Taek (played by Wi Ha Joon).
After failing to return to his pawnshop in the morning, Mrs. Nawol (played by Kim Hae Sook) launches their next course of action. Jun Taek's father tells Ishikawa that Tae Sang is in the hospital looking for Myeong Ja.
This leads the police commissioner to work with Master Jang's men to rescue Myeong Ja. When Myeong Ja makes it out of the hospital, it turns out that Ishikawa ordered his men to kill the others on board.
Fortunately, Master Jang's men were one step ahead and had everyone escape without the Japanese noticing.
The first part of Gyeongseong Creature ends with Myeong Ja back in Ishikawa's arms. But it's unclear whether she's completely safe since she is one of the four people suspected to have drank from the cup containing the Najin parasite.
The post-credit scene seems to suggest that the parasite is in Myeong Ja's body. We're still waiting for what happens when the second part of the show returns on January 5, 2024.
