Kung Fu Panda 4 Releases First Official Trailer

Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have released the first official trailer of Kung Fu Panda 4 which gave us our first look at Po's next adventure in the Valley of Peace.

Based on the footage that they showed, it looks like the upcoming movie will expand the world with new areas and mythology that have never been explored before in the franchise.

It also seemingly experiments with other animation styles, especially in the action sequences where they are creatively finding ways to depict the fights differently than before.

We also got our glimpse at the new characters including The Chameleon (Davis), who is going to be a formidable force that Po will face based on the preview of her powers, and Zhen (Awkwafina), Po's new companion who seems to be the co-lead since she seems to be part of the main adventure.

They also showed a preview of the return of Tai Lung, the villain of the first film, and suggested that he is going to be a key figure in The Chameleon's mission.

The Furious Five was notably absent which is not surprising since their respective voice actors were missing from the cast announcement and it is an indication that they won't be showing up in the film.

This is an exciting tease for fans who have been looking forward to it since it looks very different from the previous films and they have an actual story to tell in Po's next chapter. Hopefully, the final results will live up to the hype.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is slated for release in theaters on March 8, 2024.
