According to ComicBook.com, Ke Huy Quan, Viola Davis, and Awkwafina are joining the cast of Kung Fu Panda 4 to voice new characters

Quan, who recently starred in the second season of Loki and Everything Everywhere All at Once, will voice the role of Han, the leader of the Den of Thieves.

The film's main villain The Chameleon, who can shapeshift into any creature and summon the villains that Po faced in the previous movies, is going to be voiced by The Suicide Squad star Viola Davis.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Crazy Rich Asians star Awkwafina is set to voice Zhen, a corsac fox who will be Po's protege to become the new Dragon Warrior.

Aside from Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, James Hong, Bryan Cranston, and Ian McShane are also confirmed to reprise their respective roles from the previous films.

Interestingly enough, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross were missing from the cast announcement which suggests that the Furious Five may not make an appearance.

It is exciting to see Quan, Davis, and Awkwafina join the fourth film since they are all talented actors (two of them are Oscar winners) and we know that they will do a great job voicing their respective characters.

It is interesting to see how they will all play into the story of the film and whether those new characters will resonate with long-time fans of the franchise.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is slated for release in theaters on March 8, 2024.
