Kang the Conqueror Comes Face-To-Face With Scott Lang in New Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Empire Image

With Kang the Conqueror (played by Jonathan Majors) set to become the ‘new big bad’, or should I say, the ‘new Thanos’, his next cameo will be featured in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, after making his debut in Loki Season 1.

Empire Exclusive recently revealed Kang the Conqueror coming face-to-face with Scott Lang as Ant-Man for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Jeff Loveness is set to write both Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, as director Peyton Reed told Empire on Kang the Conqueror’s impact for the rest of the MCU:

“I think it has a profound impact on the MCU. Jeff Loveness, who wrote this movie, is writing The Kang Dynasty as well, so there’s been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang the Conqueror makes. There are big things in store.”

While we still do not have much information about the plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, as well as Kang the Conqueror’s plans behind taking the MCU, based on the trailer, Cassie Lang turned on the machine that will ‘send a signal to the Quantum realm’, unbeknownst that it would lead everybody — Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hope (Evangeline Lilly), Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Lang (Kathryn Newton), Hank (Michael Douglas) and Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) — to get swiped into the Quantum realm.

Even more trouble spurs the moment the trailer teases about Janet possibly knowing about the Quantum realm’s secrets, given that she spent a long time in there herself. There is also a ‘face-to-face’ between Scott Lang and Kang meeting for the first time, with Kang offering Scott and his family to come back into the real world on one condition, which has yet to be revealed in exchange for their freedom.

On the other hand, there are speculations surrounding Kang the Conqueror seeking to ‘control’ the multiverse where he intends to build and expand his empire. The Quantum realm could easily be his starting point. However, there are no announcements or new content coming from Marvel Studios themselves, so we’ll just have to wait for the movie release for now.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to premiere on February 17, 2023.
