Even before this episode's release, fans were already incredibly excited to see Yuji and Choso duke it out.
Upon the new episode's release, it exceeded expectations thanks to its brilliant animation and creative flair.

Fans Are Calling Episode 13 Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s Best One Yet
Even back in Season 1, Jujutsu Kaisen has gotten praise for its incredible action scenes. But if you ask fans now which fight is the best, chances are that many of them will point to the latest episode.
In the days leading up to the episode’s release, fans were expressing their excitement online as the Yuji vs. Choso fight was one of the highlights of the Shibuya Incident arc.
Now that it’s out, the fan sentiment is that MAPPA did the fight scene justice. Some even think the anime elevated the original fight.
Aside from the dynamic and fast-paced action, the new episode featured a lot of unique creative flourishes. These include some oblique camera angles and shifting aspect ratios.
That’s not even mentioning the moody lighting that perfectly complements the brutal hand-to-hand moves between the two combatants.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s Yuji vs. Choso Fight Seemingly Features The Raid 2 References
If you look at social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), chances are that you’ll see a lot of talk about The Raid. Specifically, fans believe that the bathroom fight scene is taken straight out of The Raid 2.
This is an Indonesian action film that was released in 2014 and has since become a cult hit. It was popular enough that its stars have been cast in Hollywood films like Star Wars Episode VII and John Wick.
The Raid 2 reference isn’t an anime-exclusive as fans already noticed that the manga had panels that looked straight out of the movie.
Gege Akutami hasn’t specifically mentioned this Indonesian action film, but based on side-by-side comparisons, the fight looks like a clear homage to The Raid 2.
Even with how great the episode is, this isn’t the last major fight of the season as Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya Incident arc will get even more spectacular scenes.
The show will continue with Episode 14 which will be released next week.
