In a new interview, Takehito Koyasu discussed his new role in the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. The voice actor also admitted he wanted to work on the anime because of the way that Gege Akutami crafted the story in the manga.

"Truly the original Manga is outstandingly interesting," Koyasu said. "Gege Akutami sensei has a sense of talent."

"I don't know how to describe it," he continued, "but he cuts down on waste,
and the frame layout is extremely well thought out."

"I'm an ordinary person and I don't have the ability to draw, so I don't know much about it, but he has an extraordinary talent," Koyasu added. "The expressions and angles are just 'Really Good', that's all I can say."

He concluded, "I think there must be many other ways of drawing, but he chooses one of them precisely, and his sense of choice is outstanding. I feel that his work is stuffed with things that would be very hard to memorise."

It's an interesting way to describe Gege Akutami's work and fans will certainly agree that the mangaka's talent is extraordinary. Needless to say, we're glad that Takehito Koyasu agreed to take on the role of Toji Fushiguro and we look forward to the villain's debut in the second season of the anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is already confirmed to adapt the manga's Gojo's Past arc, which has been retitled Hidden Inventory/Premature Death. The anime returns on July 6, 2023.
