As fans eagerly await a premiere announcement, the release date of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was leaked online via the show’s official Twitter account.
Specifically, the Twitter page changed its header to a new key visual that revealed the next season’s July 6 premiere date. Though it seems that this was an accidental upload as it was taken down shortly after.
The release date reveal makes sense given that Jujutsu Kaisen will have a stage event this weekend at AnimeJapan 2023.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date Leaked on Official Twitter
It has been a while since the first season aired, and finally, the second season was confirmed to release in July 2023. This was confirmed in December during Shueisha’s Jump Fest event.
As a Jujutsu Kaisen showcase is scheduled for AnimeJapan this weekend, many fans are expecting an official release date reveal there, and possibly the second season’s first proper trailer.
Though even before AnimeJapan began, the show's official Twitter account leaked the season’s premiere.
The July 6 release leak was spotted by @WSJ_manga and lots of other Twitter users earlier today.
This has resulted in a huge spike of tweets, enough that Jujutsu Kaisen trended with over 60k tweets (as of this article’s writing).
Based on the leaked header, new episodes of Season 2 will be released every Thursday this summer.
The first episode is also scheduled to air in Japan on July 6 at 11:56 PM JST.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Official Key Visual Highlights Gojo and Geto
Shortly after the new header got leaked and subsequently taken down, an official key visual for the highly anticipated next season was shared.
This new visual is an eye-catching poster featuring a young Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto front and center.
Along with the duo, Toji Fushiguro can also be seen in the background, with Riko Amanai and Misato Kuroi on the left side.
These characters play a big role in the Hidden Inventory arc which is the first arc that Season 2 will cover.
For those who haven’t read the manga, this is a flashback arc detailing an important event in Gojo’s past.
Following this, the season will cover the Shibuya Incident which is considered Jujutsu Kaisen’s biggest and best story arc.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is expected to air on July 6, with an official announcement likely coming this weekend.
