Jujutsu Kaisen’s latest episode features top-notch action as Mahito has to face off against another strong opponent. Action isn’t all there is to Episode 44 though, as Jujutsu Kaisen fans were shocked by the gruesome Nobara face injury scene.
In the show’s previous episode, many were distraught by what happened in the end. Now, instead of letting fans off easy, the show twisted the knife even further with this horrific scene.

Jujutsu Kaisen Twists the Knife With Gruesome Nobara Face Injury Scene
Nobara Kugisaki dominated discussions last week among Jujutsu Kaisen fans. After all, the previous episode showed her apparent demise at the hands of Mahito.
This latest episode did not immediately pick up where the last one left off. Instead, it showed a heartwarming scene featuring Nobara, Yuji, Megumi, and Gojo.
Fans got the rug pulled out from under them as the show suddenly shifted back to the present time by showing the gruesome facial injury that Nobara got. This scene showed that Nobara got nearly half her head blown off.
This is a shocking opener for the episode, and it is a gruesome reminder for fans about how dangerous Mahito is. What’s more, it strengthened the impact that Yuji felt on viewers as they also got a horrific view.
Despite the grim events, fans are still holding out hope that Nobara can make a recovery because of what Arata Nitta said to Yuji.

Fans Are Hoping Nobara Comes Back to Life Down the Line
With Yuji in a daze following Nobara’s seeming death, Aoi Todo came just in the nick of time to help him get back on his feet. Todo also brought along Arata Nitta to heal Yuji.
Aside from taking care of Yuji’s injuries, Arata also said that he tried his best to heal Nobara, though he told Yuji that it might be in vain as her breath and pulse had stopped.
Despite this, fans are hoping that Nobara can make a miraculous recovery. After all, it wasn’t explicitly stated that Nobara is dead.
If that does happen, it won’t be the first time that the series revived someone. Back in Season 1, Yuji was also revived, though that was because of Sukuna’s machinations.
The next Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 episode probably won’t reveal what will happen to Nobara. That’s because the latest episode ended with Yuji and Todo continuing their fight against Mahito.
