Jujutsu Kaisen's Messy Manga Release Schedule
Technically, Jujutsu Kaisen's manga chapters are scheduled to come out weekly. However, that's not always the reality.
More than almost any of the major shounen manga titles, Jujutsu Kaisen's manga is regularly delayed, sometimes at short notice. There's been at least one week's delay to the series in every month since mid-2022.
So, while Jujutsu Kaisen's manga is usually published weekly, be prepared for some short-term pauses. Usually, delays are announced first by the Japanese Jujutsu Kaisen PR Twitter before being widely shared online.
Jujutsu Kaisen was first published in March 2018. So far, there have been over 200 chapters released and more than 20 tankobon volumes, although the series is believed to be ending soon.
You can keep track of the latest Jujutsu Kaisen manga chapters on Viz Media’s website. Viz usually provide a daily countdown to the next chapter, so you know when to expect something new.
Why is the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga So Often Delayed?

Jujutsu Kaisen's delays can happen for various reasons, but many cases are due to health concerns around the mangaka Gege Akutami.
Gege Akutami’s health problems have been widely reported, especially last year. Thankfully, despite the pressure put on manga creators, many people have been understanding of his issues.
As a result of the mangaka’s health and other factors, chapters are occasionally delayed by a week. However, there are rarely more than two weeks between chapters.
What Day Do the New Jujutsu Kaisen Chapters Come Out?
New chapters of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga come out every Sunday, in line with their weekly release in Japan.
Many of the series in Shonen Jump are designed for the physical magazine which comes out on Mondays, so the online release date is coordinated to try to avoid spoilers emerging before physical copies are released.
The fact that chapters are available on Sundays in the US and further afield is due to timezone differences. Technically, the Jujutsu Kaisen chapters still come out on Monday Japanese time.
