As a part of the two Jean Greys' journey to claim back their memories, fans couldn't help but spot a particular easter egg: a young Jean Grey is holding a Cyclops doll in X-Men '97 episode 3. Here's what they think.

Two Jean Greys Recall Meeting Professor X
The X-Men couldn't quite differentiate the two Jean Greys from one another. However, one thing's for sure: the Jean Grey we've been following since the first episode of X-Men '97 is convinced that she's the original.
However, in the same episode, Mister Sinister's involvement confirmed that Jean Grey claiming to be the original has been under his control all along. He "baked" the Jean Grey clone, who is otherwise known as Madelyn Pryor.
Amid this, the "Jean Doe" that recently escaped Sinisters' lab decided to recall both of their memories together. As a part of this journey, they are brought back to the first time Professor X visited their kid version in their home.
As Professor X tries easing the young Jean through the use of his telepathic ability, Jean Grey smiles at the thought that she will finally be with mutants just like her.
One thing fans couldn't help but notice was the particular toy young Jean Grey had in her hand: a Cyclops toy.

X-Men '97 Fans Spot a Fitting Easter Egg For Jean's Future
X-Men fans took this easter egg as a foreshadowing device that she's about to end up with Scott (aka Cyclops) and even get a kid together with the man, all of which happened in X-Men '97.
Considering that kids usually fixate on their stuffed toys from their childhood, Jean's choosing the Cyclops makes sense.
Not only does she find comfort in the Cyclops, a mystical being that's different from "normal" human beings, but due to the fact that her future husband has the same superhero alias.
Unfortunately, as endearing as this sounds, X-Men '97's episode 3 ending was left in quite a mess.
The Jean Grey who married Scott/Cyclops and gave birth to their son, Nathan, left the mansion to the Jean Grey who had been missing since the beginning of the series.
It remains to be seen whether Cyclops would still feel the same as the original Jean Grey around and how the X-Men members could recover from this.
