We also heard that Gunn conducted the next round of auditions last weekend where he doubled down on the frontrunners and find out which of them he should cast to play the leads of the first DCU movie.

In his recent post on the Bluesky social media platform (via The Direct), Gunn shared that the latest round of auditions for Superman: Legacy was "amazing" and he was "blown away" by some of the actors who read for him.

"Amazing amazing weekend of auditions for Superman: Legacy. I'm blown away by some of these actors, among the best I've ever seen or worked with," he wrote in his post.

According to Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter, Clark Kent and Lois Lane frontrunners Nicholas Hoult, David Corenswet, Tom Brittney, Rachel Brosnahan, Emma Mackey, and Phoebe Dynevor were in full wardrobe and makeup during the screentest last weekend.

While Gunn did not mention any names himself who were present in the audition or did not provide the names that made a huge impression on him, it is still an exciting update nonetheless since it sounds like we are really getting closer to finding out the actors who are likely going to get cast.

It is also great to hear that the alleged frontrunners were "amazing" which means that Gunn was satisfied with what they did on the screentest and one of them is indeed likely going to be the names that we will hear in the announcement.

We should be hearing more updates about this in the coming weeks as Gunn and his team at DC Studios are narrowing down the list after the recent screentest.
