How Did Emerie and Omega Come to Be?

Doctor Emerie Karr is a scientist working at the Galactic Empire's cloning facility on Tantiss Mountain.

However, later Bad Batch episodes reveal that Karr herself is also a clone, most likely of Jango Fett, which is something that wasn't immediately apparent to viewers since she's a rare female clone.

As for Omega, she's an unmodified clone made from the genetic material of Jango Fett.

Unlike other clones, she has no age acceleration, which makes her much sought-after as the last person carrying Fett's pure DNA.

At the end of The Bad Batch's second season, Omega is captured by imperial forces and taken to Tantiss, where Emerie tells her they're sisters.

This has spun fan theories about their actual relationship.

So far, we know that when Emerie refers to herself as Omega's "sister" this actually means that they're both created by Jango Fett's genetic material, implying he's their mutual "father."

This information means that Omega is unlikely to be Doctor Emerie's clone. But could it be the other way around?

Since Emerie and Omega's "sisterhood" status was revealed, fans have come up with an alternative theory.

While Emerie is technically older than Omega, it's important to note that the majority of clones we've followed in The Bad Batch and earlier in The Clone Wars had accelerated aging.

Given what we know about most clones, it is an easy assumption to make that Emerie is also a clone of Jango Fett.

However, some viewers believe that Emerie, a rare female clone, might have been created using Omega's pure genetic material and modified to age faster, which did not happen to Omega.

Of course, if this was the case, one could perceive Omega as Emerie's "mother" rather than her sister, which is why the theory that they're both products of Fett's DNA remains more prevalent.

Regardless, the theory remains quite compelling. If it were true, it could open myriads of possibilities for a new generation of clones in the Star Wars galaxy.
