In the first episode of SAND LAND: THE SERIES, the demon prince Beelzebub requests permission from his father to take a break from his training to join Sheriff Rao on his journey to find a legendary mystic spring that could alleviate the wasteland's water shortage.

Satan (Lucifer) allows Beelzebub to assist Rao because he believes the demons will also benefit from the mystical spring.

He also believes Rao is a trustworthy person with a kind heart, so it would be fine if his son took some time off from his usual routine. Plus, it will be a great exercise for Beelzebub.

In exchange, Satan wants Beelzebub to only play video games for one hour a day when he returns from his journey with Rao.

Satan's appearance in Sand Land has long sparked discussion among Dragon Ball and Sand Land fans due to his striking resemblance to Dabura in the Dragon Ball franchise.

There are countless theories online that suggest Dabura is Beelzebub's father because they look alike, but some also argue that Sand Land has no direct relation to Dragon Ball and resides in an entirely separate universe, making Dabura's fatherhood impossible.

One theory argues that Dabura is not Satan's father due to their size disparity.

Satan is about the same size as Dragon Ball's King Yemma, as opposed to Dabura, who appears significantly smaller than the other two characters.

Another theory holds that Dabura only became smaller after being resurrected. It's possible that Satan perished in Sand Land and was reborn as Dabura, although this is purely fan theory.

Meanwhile, the vast majority of Dragon Ball fans believe that this is just another example of Akira Toriyama recycling character designs from his numerous series, as shown by the similarities among Dabura, Satan, and COWA's Leonardo (Reonald).

There is no official explanation for these parallels, and many people continue to question if the characters have a genuine connection to this day.
