Hazbin Hotel follows Charlie Morningstar, the princess of Hell who opens a hotel that aims to rehabilitate demons so they can ascend into heaven instead of being purged by angels.
Most of the show’s main characters have well-defined roles. For instance, Charlie is in charge of the hotel as a whole, with her girlfriend, Vaggie, serving as the manager.
Then, there’s Angel Dust, the troublesome first guest of the hotel who continues to stay there and cause a ruckus.
As for Alastor, he is a powerful Overlord who assists Charlie in the hotel’s operations. Make no mistake though, Alastor isn’t a hotel staff member as he helps out simply for his entertainment.
Alastor is a devilishly charismatic character with a well-mannered personality. As the Radio Demon, he speaks like an old-fashioned radio show host.
Underneath his charming exterior though, Alastor is still a demon with a dark side, not to mention that he has quite the ego.

How Old Is Alastor From Hazbin Hotel? Here's the Official Answer
Given his old-timey radio voice, Alastor is clearly from the early 20th century when he was a human. This is a fact as Alastor died in 1933.
Of course, it’s not clear exactly how old he is as a demon, as the ages of the denizens of hell aren’t mentioned.
Still, Hazbin Hotel fans may wonder how old Alastor is, at least in terms of how he is presented in the show. There is a surprising answer to this from the show’s creator, VivziePop.
In a livestream back in 2019 (at a time even before the pilot episode), VivziePop mentioned that Alastor’s age is between 30 and 40.
Given that demon ages aren’t clear, this fact will probably not come up in the show. Still, it’s nice to have an answer for those wondering.
