Kento Nanami is seen fighting a horde of transfigured humans in the recent Jujutsu Kaisen episode. However, we see him half-burned from head to toe like Two-Face from DC’s Batman series. But how did Nanami get burned?

How Did Nanami Get Burned?
During the battle against Dagon, the jujutsu sorcerers struggle to fight against the curse.
But when Megumi Fushiguro arrives, the tide starts to turn in favor of the jujutsu sorcerers.
Eventually, Toji Fushiguro, too, joins the battle and brutally exorcises Dagon, and his domain is suspended.
But suddenly, Jogo shows up to pay his respects to Dagon, gathering his exorcised ashes and bidding a final farewell to his comrade.
Severely wounded, Nanami and Naobito can hardly believe that right after fighting Dagon, they would have to battle another curse that surpasses him by far.
Jogo tells Dagon to entrust the remainder to him, expressing anticipation for their reunion in the future.
Then in an instant, Jogo firmly presses his palm against Nanami’s waist, unleashing a powerful wave of cursed flames upon him.
Before Maki can even utter Nanami’s name in alarm, Jogo engulfs her in flames as well.
And that’s how Nanami was burned in Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shibuya Incident arc.
Did Nanami Die From Getting Burned?
No, despite being badly scorched by Jogo, Nanami manages to survive the cursed flame explosion.
However, he is badly wounded and finds it tough to continue the battle. He even acknowledges that he is exhausted and wants to leave everything.
Unfortunately, he is confronted by a horde of transfigured humans.
He ruthlessly chops off the transfigured humans with his blunted sword until he comes across Mahito.
Nanami is surprised to find Mahito and asserts that he is unaware of the cursed spirit’s presence.
Mahito responds, stating that he has been watching him all along, and asks if he would be interested in a conversation.
However, the conversation doesn’t end well for Nanami. In his final moments, Nanami smiles at Yuji Itadori and reassures him that he can take it from here.
Mahito swiftly ends Nanami’s life by obliterating his torso, leaving Itadori in shock.
