Classroom of the Elite’s latest episode had a surprising development as Ayanokoji topped the Class Poll. Because of this, many are wondering how Ayanokoji got the most positive votes in Classroom of the Elite season 3 episode 8.
Given Ayanokoji’s personality and standing in the class, his getting the most votes was a big surprise to everyone, as seen in the reactions of his fellow Class D students.

Classroom of the Elite’s Class Poll Special Exam, Explained
Classroom of the Elite features lots of challenging and often nerve-wracking exams. The latest one is wildly different though, as it doesn’t seem at all threatening.
Called the Class Poll, this special exam was introduced by Sae Chabashira. This exam has not been held before in the school’s history; fitting given that it’s also the first time that no student has been expelled at this point.
How it works is that students can give praise or criticism votes to students in their class and other classes. The students with the lowest vote result will be expelled while top students will be protected from expulsion.
Students who are voted out by his/her class can be saved by praise votes from other classes. Meanwhile, students can still be saved by using 20 million points.
During the exam, Class D’s Haruki Yamauchi conspires with Kikyo Kushida and enters an agreement with Class A’s Arisu Sakayanagi to get Kiyotaka Ayanokoji expelled.
Things don’t go according to plan though, as it’s revealed in the anime’s latest episode that Ayanokoji has gotten the most praise votes.

How Did Ayanokoji Get the Most Positive Votes?
So, how did Ayanokoji get the most positive votes? As many anime-only viewers rightly theorized, the person behind this is Arisu. This is revealed in the events of the light novel series.
Despite promising positive votes from Class A to Yamauchi, she instead uses her standing to get votes for Ayanokoji. This is because Arisu wishes to face Ayanokoji in the next exam.
Arisu believes that this exam was chosen to get Ayanokoji expelled. As she wants to face off against him in a proper battle, she hatches this plan so that Ayanokoji won’t get expelled.
These events will play out in the next Classroom of the Elite season 3 episode, which will be released on Crunchyroll next week.
