If there's one thing we know about Game of Thrones, it's the fact that the ninth episode is always something to watch out for. So it's no surprise that people are already expecting big things in House of the Dragon Episode 9. Not surprisingly, the teaser for next Sunday's episode doesn't disappoint as a major death is instantly confirmed while the Green Council is shown making preparations to take over Westeros.
The House of the Dragon Episode 9 preview was released right after this week's episode concluded and it immediately confirms what we have already dreaded: King Viserys I Targaryen is dead. In addition to that, it is revealed that Alicent Hightower completely misinterpreted what the king was trying to say on his deathbed and she now claims that Viserys wanted Aegon to be king.
It's also clear that Otto Hightower is determined to put his grandson on the Iron Throne. The teaser doesn't show exactly how the Hand of the King will make it happen but he's planning something and there is little doubt that it will be bad news for Rhaenyra Targaryen.
There is little doubt that people are already expecting a lot in House of the Dragon Episode 9. As the penultimate episode of the Game of Thrones spin-off, there are expectations that it will outdo the original show's dreaded ninth episodes. Additionally, the previous episodes have already teased dangerous things to come. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what will happen in next Sunday's episode.
