Keep in mind that Crosshair has been away for quite some time from the Bad Batchers' side and the series altogether.

While we have barely seen what Dr. Hemlock did to Crosshair, one key scene left an impression that may have set the clue behind the Empire's plan.

Dr. Hemlock is notoriously known for his unorthodox experiments and projects in The Bad Batch.

Apart from that, he has been consistently fascinated with how brainwashed Crosshair has been to serve the Empire rather than return to his friends.

The rest of Hemlock's behind-the-scenes can pretty much be left to the imaginations of fans, one of them being the possibility that he cloned Crosshair to his advantage.

So, does Crosshair have clones in The Bad Batch? Here's what fans have to say about this theory.

Upon the release of two new episodes this week: The Bad Batch episodes 6 (Infiltration) and 7 (Extraction), fans have begun speculating about the true identities of the clone assassins that went after Omega and the group.

Fans pointed out two things in the Reddit discussion: the clone assassins look closely similar to Crosshair and they also seemingly possess his unique ability as a sharpshooter. Another is the fact that the clones called him their "brother."

Don't forget that Crosshair could also be used as leverage in tracking down the Bad Batch to capture Omega.

Take note that in The Bad Batch season 2, Dr. Hemlock told Crosshair he would be a "new clone model" which explains why they also picked him to be their main experiment. What do you think of this theory?

Even though Crosshair has somewhat redeemed himself in the Bad Batchers by coming back to their side while protecting Omega, the happy ending to this battle is far from over.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 still has 8 episodes left, as of writing. Meanwhile, episode 8 titled Bad Territory airs on Disney+ on March 20.
