Grant Gustin is Open to Play The Flash Again Under One Condition

Grant Gustin recently revealed that he is willing to return as The Flash in another DC project under one specific condition.

The actor played the iconic DC speedster for nine seasons in the CW Arrowverse series that ended its run last year right before the Ezra Miller-led The Flash movie arrived in theaters.

Despite that, fans are still hoping that Gustin will be able to play the hero again at some point in the future for more adventures.

Grant Gustin Will Play The Flash Again If James Gunn Asks Him

In a video shared on TikTok that has now gone viral, a fan asked Gustin in an event whether he is open to returning as The Flash in a future project.

He responded by saying that he could play the hero again if he gets asked by DC Studios co-chairman James Gunn.

"Yeah, if James Gunn asked me to play The Flash, I would do it again. I trust James Gunn," he said.

The new DCU is expected to recast the role of The Flash when the character gets introduced as Miller is no longer attached to play the hero in the new iteration of the franchise under Gunn and Peter Safran.

If Gustin somewhat gets an offer to play the hero in the DCU, it looks like he will be agreeing to don the suit again despite already playing him for nine seasons in the CW series.

However, it is likely that Gunn will be looking for an actor who has never played the character before in order to give it a fresh take to the eyes of the audience.

So far, DC Studios has not announced any plans to introduce The Flash in a future project as they are more focused on debuting other beloved DC heroes instead in the near future.

We should be hearing some updates regarding The Flash's placement in the DCU soon once Gunn is ready to make a confirmation.
