What Is Goblin Slayer Season 2 About?
The Goblin Slayer anime is the story of the titular Goblin Slayer, an armored warrior who won't rest until the often-overlooked threat of goblins who devastate rural areas and kidnap women is eradicated.
Adventuring with him is a young priestess, a high elf, a dwarf, and a lizardman, all keen to take down the cunning goblins that aren't other heroes' main focus due to their lowly reputation.
Season 2's trailer features the titular main character slaying even more goblins, but it won't be all blood and gore.
The Goblin Slayer is slowly coming to understand that there's more to life than killing goblins, but of course, his adventure isn't becoming any less exciting.
That being said, Goblin Slayer's gore will be more than what you can expect in your typical isekai or fantasy anime, so be warned!
Goblin Slayer Season 2 Episode Count Confirmed
It has now been confirmed that Goblin Slayer Season 2 will have 12 episodes.
This was announced on the anime's official website, which revealed that the Blu-ray/DVD set will come out with three volumes containing four episodes each.
The first season of the adventure anime featured a 12-episode arc. Therefore, it doesn't come as a surprise that the second season will be similar in length.
More often than not, lowkey titles tend to have shorter season lengths, but some of them can be a bit longer.

Will There Be More Goblin Slayer Episodes Later?
It's a bit too early to know if Goblin Slayer will release more episodes after Season 2, but it's possible.
The first Goblin Slayer light novel series counts 16 volumes with more to come in the future, which means there's more material to adapt if Season 2 does well.
As of writing, there's a Goblin Slayer movie titled Goblin Slayer: Goblin's Crown which came out in 2020. It is now available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Season 2 of Goblin Slayer has been picked up by another studio, LIDENFILMS, and they hopefully have more exciting plans for the franchise if the second season goes as well as planned.
