Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End finally shared visuals and revealed the voice actors of Fern and Stark.
The new visual and voice cast info was shared on the anime’s official website and Twitter account. Much like the main character, the VAs for Fern and Stark are quite popular and had leading roles in the previous season.
This isn’t the first promo visual for the series though, as the anime has been hyped up since earlier this year. But pretty much all of the previous trailers and visuals only featured Frieren’s original party.
Frieren Finally Shares Fern and Stark Visuals
Without going too deep into spoiler territory, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a unique fantasy anime as it follows the elf Frieren 50 years after her party defeated the world’s demon lord.
Typically, fantasy anime follow a group of adventurers as they face off against their world’s main villain. This gives Frieren a unique story and atmosphere that’s a bit more tinged with melancholy.
Most of the series will follow Frieren in her new journey, but the anime will begin with a two-hour-long special that will feature Frieren and her original party members.
Now, the anime finally shared a visual of Frieren’s new companions. The first is the human mage Fern whom Frieren takes under her wing, as requested by one of her former party members.
Next is Stark, a human warrior who was a former apprentice of Eisen, another member of Frieren’s former adventuring party.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Reveals Fern and Stark Voice Actors
Aside from the visuals, the anime also shared the voice actors that were cast in these two roles. To start, Fern is voiced by popular VA Kana Ichinose.
Ichinose has quickly become one of the most popular anime VAs today as she has played the lead role of Suletta Mercury in Gundam: Witch from Mercury.
She is also the voice of Maki Shijo in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, as well as Ichigo in Darling in the Franxx.
Alongside Ichinose is Chiaki Kobayashi as Stark. Kobayashi is another rising VA who got two big roles in Spring 2023 as the voice of Mash Burnedead in Mashle and Gabimaru in Hell’s Paradise.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will premiere its feature-length first episode on September 29, 2023.
The series will be streamed on Crunchyroll in the US and other selected regions in the Fall 2023 season.
