Fantastic Four Actor Michael Chiklis Addresses His Rumored MCU Return

For the past several months, we've been hearing a lot of rumors surrounding the returning Fox Marvel actors who will allegedly appear in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool 3 including the original Fantastic Four cast.

So far, none of the people involved in the film have commented on the rumors as they remain tight-lipped on the secrets that they have in store for the highly-anticipated movie.

Now, one of the actors from the original Fantastic Four cast has finally weighed in on the rumor.

Michael Chiklis Denies Rumored Return as The Thing in the MCU

In his recent post on X, Michael Chiklis, who played Ben Grimm/The Thing in the original Fantastic Four films, addressed his rumored return in Deadpool 3.

He debunked the reports that he is reprising the role and the fake set photo that has surfaced where he is shown wearing a motion-capture suit as The Thing on the set of the upcoming MCU film.

However, he did tease that he knows the new actor who has been cast to play the MCU's The Thing.

"FYI folks... This is a FAKE. Sorry to disappoint. So many people have asked about it, I feel it’s necessary to clear this up. I do know who they’re casting though. Not my place to tell but I will say this. I’m a fan of his work and I wish him luck and success with it," he wrote in his post.

We can now safely cross Chiklis' name as one of the potential Fox-Marvel actors who may show up in Deadpool 3 since we heard official word from him that it's not happening.

It is interesting though that he has insider information on which actor has Marvel Studios been tapped to play the new Ben Grimm in the MCU and it's a sign that we're getting closer to finding out the news.

For now, we should be anticipating any official news and announcement that will likely occur very soon as we're seeing signs now that Marvel Studios has already cast the MCU's First Family.

Fantastic Four is slated to release in theaters on May 2, 2025.
