During a live broadcast on Sky Sports, Marvel Studios released a new first-look clip from Echo which gave us our preview of Daredevil's cameo appearance in the series.

In the one-minute-long footage, Daredevil, who is sporting his iconic red costume like in the Netflix series, was seen in hand-to-hand combat against Maya in a sequence that was seemingly shot in one continuous take.

With this clip and the trailers and TV spots that they released so far, it just shows that the series is indeed going hardcore in its action and violence and they are not holding any punches in the fight sequences, which is a breathe of fresh air in the franchise.

The series is set to be the first MCU Disney+ project under the TV-MA banner, the equivalent of rated R in theatrical releases. It is also under the new Marvel Spotlight banner, which highlights character-driven projects that are not necessarily part of the overarching story of the saga.

It is hard to say at this point whether the MCU series will deliver the satisfaction that fans may want, but so far, there are a lot of promising elements since they are exploring a new tone and style that they haven't done in previous Disney+ shows.

All five episodes of Echo will premiere on Disney+ and Hulu this January 9.
