Who Is Kei Karuizawa in Classroom of the Elite?
Kei Karuizawa is one of the lead female protagonists in the series, and she's depicted as a leader among the girls of Class D.
In the beginning, Kei appears as a careless individual who is focused on her desires.
She frequently socializes with her female classmates after school, using her points to buy clothes and accessories.
Revered and feared by her peers alike for her assertive nature, Kei becomes Yosuke Hirata’s girlfriend within two weeks of her enrolment, solidifying her leadership among the girls of Class D.
Does Ayanokoji Actually like Kei in Classroom of the Elite?
Ayanokoji and Kei’s relationship is quite complex in the Classroom of the Elite light novel.
In the beginning, it is unclear if Ayanokoji actually likes Kei or if he is using her for his bigger plan.
At the same time, Kei didn’t regard Ayanokoji highly. She frequently underestimated him, considering him an ordinary guy, though she felt no animosity toward him.
Meanwhile, Ayanokoji closely monitors Kei and learns about her past and how she was bullied.
Eventually, Ayanokoji forms a close bond with Kei, and he even starts trusting her more than others.
In volume 6 of the light novel, Kei begins to develop a crush on Ayanokoji.
Further hints of her crush on him are evident in the light novel when she addresses him by his first name and enthusiastically cheers him on during the sports festival race against Manabu Horikita.
As the series progresses, Ayanokoji demonstrates genuine concern for Kei. In one particular instance, he protects her by confronting and fending off Kakeru Ryuen.
In volume 11.5, Ayanokoji finally tells Kei that he loves her and they share a kiss.
Kei and Ayanokoji's relationship has several ups and downs, and it's marked by several rough patches. However, it seems evident that Ayanokoji deeply cares about her.
