He has had a run as the student council president, but his term has finally ended. Now, fans are wondering if Manabu Horikita will ever return to Classroom of the Elite.
Since the series began, Manabu Horikita has had a constant presence. He’s also a memorable character with an interesting dynamic with the protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokoji.
In the show’s latest episode though, we got to see a different side to Manabu, especially about his sister.

Who Is Manabu Horikita? Meet Suzune's Older Brother
Classroom of the Elite's Manabu Horikita is a 3rd year student in Class 3-A, and he serves as the student council president during the events of the 1st Year arc.
As his surname implies, Manabu is the older brother of Suzune Horikita.
This has become a source of friction between them at the beginning, as Manabu was concerned that Suzune being in Class D would affect his reputation.
This speaks to Manabu’s personality of being incredibly serious and dedicated to his role in school. Manabu does have an interesting side to him, as he’s shown to be quite interested in Ayanokoji’s abilities.
Meanwhile, his relationship with Suzune is quite hostile, though season 3’s latest episode revealed that there’s a good reason Manabu acts coldly to his sister.

What Happened to Manabu and Suzune in Classroom of the Elite S3 Episode 12?
With Manabu finally moving on from school, he had a surprisingly tender moment with his sister Suzune. There, he says that he has never truly been disappointed with her being in Class D.
Instead, he was disappointed that she was too dependent on him. It turns out that Manabu only acted coldly so that Suzune could become more independent.
Suzune accepting this and moving forward can be seen in her new short hairstyle. As Manabu noted, Suzune prefers this hairstyle and only grew out her hair because it’s his preference.

Will Manabu Horikita Return to Classroom of the Elite?
Given Manabu’s abilities coupled with his interesting dynamic with Ayanokoji, many fans are hoping that Manabu will return at some point.
Based on the light novel’s events, Manabu hasn’t made a return in the 2nd Year arc, meaning fans might not be able to see him again soon, or maybe ever.
There’s always a chance that he will reappear though, especially considering that the light novel’s story is far from over.
