Delicious in Dungeon premiered a few days ago, and it has been well-received by most fans. Aside from general praise, Delicious in Dungeon fans have also been impressed by the German dub voice actress of Marcille.
On social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), the show’s German dub got a lot of attention thanks to the lively and hilarious voice acting for Marcille.
What makes it even funnier is that Marcille’s German voice is trending mainly among non-German speakers.
Netflix Releases Trigger’s Latest Anime With Several Dubs
Delicious in Dungeon is a new fantasy anime by the popular anime studio Trigger. Much like Trigger’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, this new series is being streamed on Netflix worldwide.
On top of its worldwide release, Netflix kicked things up a notch by giving the anime a simuldub release in numerous languages.
English simuldub releases are already rarely done for anime, so it’s impressive how this new anime has 11 language options (12 if you count the original Japanese version).
The language options include:

The show’s English dub, in particular, has quite a star-studded cast list. For instance, the main character, Laios, is voiced by Damien Haas, the VA of Kiyoka Kudou in My Happy Marriage and a cast member of Smosh.
Other cast members include Emily Rudd, who is best known as Nami in Netflix’s live-action One Piece series, as well as SungWon Cho, who is a notable video game voice actor and YouTuber.
As expected, the English dub got praise from fans, but it was the German version that became a trending topic among viewers.

Delicious in Dungeon Fans Are Loving the German Voice Actress of Marcille
Shortly after the show’s premiere, many anime fans gave the first episode a rewatch in other language options. Based on the reactions online, it was the German dub that stood out thanks to Marcille’s actress.
Marcille’s German dub VA is Magdalena Höfner. She is also the German voice actress of Ai Hayasaka in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Agnès Chevalier de Milan in The Familiar of Zero: Knight of the Twin Moons.
Fans noted how well Höfner portrayed Marcille’s hilarious panicking outbursts. Some even uploaded an edited clip where all characters speak in English, with Marcille being the only German speaker.
Given this Marcille trend, it’s likely that many viewers will watch the show’s next episodes in German. Thus, fans can expect even more funny clips in the coming weeks.
