Delicious in Dungeon finally premiered this week, and for those who haven’t watched it yet, they’re in for a surprise. Netflix recently released the first episode of the Delicious in Dungeon English dub, and it stars One Piece lead actress Emily Rudd.
This was confirmed in the episode’s credits and by Rudd herself on her personal X (formerly Twitter) account. There, she revealed she is part of the anime’s main cast.
Rudd joining the cast is quite a surprise, especially as she has not voice-acted in an anime before.
Live-Action Nami Joins the Delicious in Dungeon English Dub
Emily Rudd became popular in the anime world in 2023 as she starred as the ever-popular Nami in the One Piece live-action series, which got great reviews from critics and fans.
Before starring in the show, Rudd had been a fan of One Piece, though this was her first involvement in an anime-related project.
Previously, Rudd was known for starring in Netflix’s Fear Street Part Two: 1978. Rudd also had some voice acting experience before as she played a small voice role in the Agent Elvis animated series.
Thus, it was a surprise to many when Rudd shared that she is the voice of Marcille in the Delicious in Dungeon English dub.
Marcille is one of the main characters of Studio Trigger’s latest anime, and she’s a stand-out character in the main party. After all, even in the trailers, she has some of the most memorable moments.
Of course, Rudd isn’t the only big name in the cast as the rest of the show’s English dub VAs are also notable names in their own right.

Delicious in Dungeon’s English Dub Also Features Other Well-Known VAs
Voicing the main character Laios is Damien Haas. He is a familiar face to many who watch Smosh on YouTube, though he is also a notable VA. For instance, Haas is the voice of Kiyoka Kudou in My Happy Marriage.
Meanwhile, the VA of Chilchuck is Casey Mongillo, the voice of Shinji Ikari in Netflix’s Neon Genesis Evangelion English dub.
Then, there’s Senshi who is voiced by SungWon Cho, a popular YouTuber and voice actor, especially in games.
Rounding out the dub cast is Lisa Reimold who voices Falin. Reimold is the VA of Kurumi in Lycoris Recoil and Uran in Pluto.
The first episode of Delicious in Dungeon is available now on Netflix, with new episodes being released every week with both English dubs and subs.
