Who Are the Members of Laios’ Party in Delicious in Dungeon?
Following the failed attempt to reach the dungeon's very bottom, the adventurers led by Laios lost two anonymous members who resigned and joined another party.
Here are the new members (so far) of the party organized by Laios in Delicious in Dungeon:
- Laios acts as the leader of the adventuring party. He is a warrior-class adventurer who wants to save his sister, Falin, from the Red Dragon. He loves monsters, including their appearance, and he’s also willing to shed a tear for their ecology. He has been looking for a chance to eat monsters after resisting the urge to know how they taste for a very long time.
- Marcille is a magic user who knows a lot of powerful magic spells. She’s the whiner of the party who shoots down every idea her party members decide to eat, even after agreeing to eat anything as long as it is edible. She usually gets into trouble.
- Chilchuck is a pick-lock who can open doors and disable traps. He is interested in trying out new things and has no problem eating monster cuisine.
- Senshi acts as the cook of the party, who dreams of cooking the Red Dragon for many years. He knows a lot about the composition and structure of monsters. He has over 10 years’ worth of monster cuisine knowledge.
- Falin is also a magic user who unfortunately sacrificed herself to let her brother and the rest of the party escape from the Red Dragon. She specializes in gnome-system magic.
What Happened to Laios and His Party Members in the Delicious in Dungeon Anime (So Far)?
Here’s a breakdown of the events that have happened to Laios’ Party so far:
The Party Led by Laios Encountered the Red Dragon in Delicious in Dungeon Episode 1
Laios’ party faced the Red Dragon, but they were not able to defeat it due to some unfortunate events. At first, they were completely prepared, and nothing was able to get in their way; however, they were starving themselves.
Everyone’s movements lack their usual edge after they lost a day roaming around due to a misprint on their map. It resulted in the party walking into a trap and losing three days’ worth of food.
During the encounter with the Red Dragon, Falin sacrificed herself on behalf of her brother.
She pushed Laios away, and before she was eaten by the dragon, she used a teleportation spell to let the party escape without her from the dungeon.
Laios Organized a Party With New Members
After escaping, Laios plans to save her sister from being digested by the dragon.
It is said that dragons spend most of their days sleeping, so their digestion is slower than that of other monsters, which could indicate that he can save his sister.
Still, everything the party had was left in the dungeon, so they’re cleaned out. Laios also lost two members, but Chilchuck and Marcille decided to stay.
Exploring dungeons costs money for hiring new companions, buying equipment, and getting food.
Laios thinks that they can sell their current equipment and secure the funds they have now to switch to cheaper equipment, but they will not have enough.
Hence, Laios decided to secure food in the dungeon instead. After all, there are all kinds of monsters in the dungeon that humans can eat.
Laios also has a dungeon food guide that will give his party insight into what to eat and what not to eat.
Senshi Joined the Party Led by Laios
Seeing the hopeless party led by Laios cook monster cuisine, Senshi decided to join them.
He showed Laios how to cook the giant scorpion, in addition to the walking mushroom, the slime, and even the tree trunks from the first basement floor of the dungeon.
Nothing makes Senshi happier than to hear Laios talk about monster cuisine, so he approaches them.
Before heading to the second basement floor of the dungeon, Senshi and his newfound party members ate the giant scorpion broth, filled with ingredients found on the first floor.
Laios and His Party Members Start Their New Journey
The second-floor basement of the dungeon gave Laios and his party members an abnormal view, said to be the spire of the Golden Castle, which is located deep underground.
Trees do not grow above ground, even with their tall height, due to the curse placed in the dungeon.
After a while, Laios and the others decide to find a campsite to rest. They also looked for plants and fruits that they could cook.
Of course, Marcille gets into trouble again, and Laios has to save her before plants can place seeds on her skin.
By the end of the episode, Senshi had cooked a delicious tart for everyone to enjoy. At night, Marcille had a nightmare after she was traumatized by eating Senshi’s monster cuisine.
