Several set photos from the production of Deadpool 3 have leaked recently online which revealed a couple of spoilers from the upcoming movie. While it got some fans excited, some also got disappointed as they will no longer be surprised when they see the film next year.

Some of the spoilers that were revealed in the set photos are the returning villains from the original X-Men movies, the easter eggs to other MCU projects, and a major connection to Loki.

It remains to be seen whether more batches of set photos may surface in the coming days or weeks, but some fans are hoping that it won't reveal too many major spoilers that will totally ruin the surprises that they have in store.

Ryan Reynolds addressed the recent set photos leak from Deadpool 3 in a statement that he posted on his Instagram story.

The actor shared his displeasure about the leaks as they wanted to keep the surprises under wraps and the difficulty of preventing them as they are filming some parts of the movie in practical locations.

"Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies. It's important for us to shoot the new Deadpool film in real, natural environments, using practical effects, as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone," he said.

"Here's hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they're ready. The film is built for audience joy--and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen."

Reynolds added, "Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they're excited. I realize these aren't real world issues and it's firmly in the 'good problems' bucket. I love making this movie."

It is understandable to hear Reynolds' disappointment with the set photos leak since they do want the fans to not take a peek at any of the spoilers as they're filming the movie and preserve the surprises until its release next year.

However, it is difficult to do it in a public environment since it allows some access to the people to see what is happening and take a photo secretly. The only solution at this point is to tighten up the security around the area to prevent it from happening again.

Deadpool 3 is slated for release in theaters on July 26, 2024.
