Last week, we learned that Daredevil: Born Again is undergoing a massive creative reboot after Marvel Studios decided that the series was not working based on the footage that was shot before the actors' strike and fired its original writers and directors.

It was also reported that Marvel Studios is changing its strategy on producing their TV shows as they now decided to hire actual showrunners to spearhead the projects instead of having an executive run the productions just like in the movies.

While the news is unfortunate for the individuals who were previously involved in the project, it is also seen as a positive sign for fans as they see it as Marvel Studios' way of finally addressing their mistakes from their failures in the TV side of its productions.

Now, the original showrunner of the Netflix version of Daredevil has chimed in and shared his thoughts on the latest move that Marvel is making for the Disney+ reboot.

Steven DeKnight, the showrunner of the first season of Netflix's Daredevil, reacted to the news surrounding Born Again's creative reboot in response to a post from a fan on X.

While he expressed his disappointment over the scrapping of the original version, he is also glad to see that Marvel Studios has recognized the importance of having a showrunner take the leadership duties of their TV shows.

"I am not happy the show is scrapped and have consistently stated the opposite. However I AM delighted that they finally realized you need an actual showrunner who's a writer to make a series work," he wrote in his post.

He pretty much shares the sentiments of most fans and people within the industry who have also chimed in on the news online. While DeKnight might not be happy with how the project is turning out so far, he can still see the bright side of the creative overhaul that it is undergoing.

At this point, we don't know yet whether Marvel Studios' new strategy for its TV projects will lead to shows that have better quality, but it is still an important step for them to now have showrunners spearhead their shows and value their role rather than just making them the head writer.

For now, all we can hope is to keep our fingers crossed that this is a new direction that will result in more satisfying results than ever before and the MCU TV shows will have a better reputation again moving forward.
