For the past several weeks, we've been hearing a lot of news regarding the impact of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike across various film and TV projects across Hollywood including the comic book shows Daredevil: Born Again and The Penguin.

Both projects have reportedly been affected by the strike as there were WGA picketers who successfully shut down their respective productions for a day or two and a lot of people are wondering whether they'll end up shutting down as a whole until the strike ends.

Deadline has reported that Daredevil: Born Again and The Penguin are officially shutting down production due to the impact of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike. Both are expected to resume once it ends which is still unknown at the moment.

This comes as picketers have shut down the production of both shows in New York several times in the past few weeks and now it will be permanent for the duration of the strike.

Considering that no fair deal has been made yet and is not expected to end anytime soon, it might take months before both productions will resume and it will also lead to their respective delays as they're expected to premiere next year.

Daredevil: Born Again was planned to film throughout the entire year as the first season consists of whopping 18 episodes. Now, we might expect it to extend until early next year due to this setback.

As for The Penguin, they've been filming its 8-episode season since March and is expected to last for a few months. A similar delay is now expected to happen with the possibility of extending until early next year as well.

For now, let's just wait and see how the strike continues to develop as it will determine the fate of all films and TV projects that have been delayed or halted production. Hopefully, a fair deal will be made as soon as possible so that the projects can continue again and the writers will be paid equally.
