To give a straight answer, yes, there is romance in Daily Dose of Sunshine. But the good news is that the romance in this series is not heavily focused on. Instead, the show focuses on the main topic: mental health.

It also talks about the struggles of those working in the hospitals, from the nurses to the doctors and even the orderly. The heavy content of the show has been artistically depicted to showcase the different mental health disorders people are exposed to.

Some of the episodes even show the struggles of suicide survivors and what they have to go through after a loss.

To make the mood of the story lighten up, Daily Dose of Sunshine has added bits of romance between the characters. More importantly, the budding romance between Nurse Min Deul-re (played by Lee Yi-dam) and Dr. Hwang Yeo-hwan (played by Jang Ryul).

Another romance in the story that lightens up the genre is the love triangle between Nurse Jung Da-eun (played by Park Bo-young), Dr. Dong Go-geun (played by Yeon Woo-jin), and Song Yu-chan (played by Jang Dong-yoon).

The love triangle shows a healthy competition between the two men-- who are, first and foremost, friends. Even though there is an opportunity to keep Da-eun's attention, they make sure to call on each other when she needs someone.

Because at the end of the day, the two men want to make sure that Da-eun gets the help she needs after what she went through. And ultimately, that's what the whole message of Daily Dose of Sunshine K-Drama is.
