Aside from the first part of Episode 8, the eighth and ninth episodes of the show were pretty much all action.

Things have slowed down a bit in Episode 10, but many were excited to see the fan-favorite Kishibe.

While this isn’t his anime debut, this new episode is Kishibe’s first proper appearance, and it is a memorable one.

Kishibe shows off his devil-hunting expertise by quickly dispatching Denji and Power many times in one day and again near the end of the episode.

Aside from how cool Kishibe is in the episode, many fans also praised the animation for being fluid and easy to follow.

Kishibe himself also trended as many anime fans shared comparisons between him and Mads Mikkelsen.

Aki also got the spotlight at the beginning and end of the episode. The first part showed Aki at his most vulnerable as he cried while remembering Himeno’s sacrifice.

Although there were some criticisms regarding his crying scene, most fans believed that the scene was animated well and was effective in tugging at the heartstrings.

That wasn’t the case near the end of the episode though. At this point, Aki joined the two devil hunters from Kyoto to form a new contract with another devil.

This is because Aki can no longer summon the Fox Devil following the Katana Man fight.

After a flashback featuring Himeno, Aki is shown walking through the captured devils’ cells.

Many fans noted that his walk looked weird as he was swinging his arms and body unnaturally.

On Twitter, fans talked about how his walking animation did not look good.

Many joked that this was because of Denji kicking him in the balls back in the second episode.

Despite this awkwardly animated scene, the tenth episode still received praise overall from both anime-only viewers and manga readers.

You’re sure to see more of Aki in Chainsaw Man Episode 11 which will be released next week.
