The anime may be over for now, but the manga keeps on going. Though the latest Chainsaw Man chapter sent fans into a frenzy as many are now afraid for Denji’s life after the Chapter 117 cliffhanger ending.
While the anime was airing, the manga had an irregular schedule as sometimes there were two-week breaks before a new chapter’s release.
Now though, it seems that new Chainsaw Man chapters are being released weekly.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 117 Recap
The previous chapter saw Asa seemingly trying to buy the entire aquarium to use as a weapon so they can get out.
In Chainsaw Man Chapter 117, it was shown that while Asa may not have been successful in buying the entire aquarium, what she did was enough to free everyone that’s trapped inside.
What followed was Yoru finally taking over Asa’s body to face off against what is presumably the Eternity Devil.
In typical series fashion, the fight is over quickly as Yoru makes quick work of the devil, with some prior help from Yoshida.
Denji wasn’t there to see Yoru in action as he was distracted by a cute penguin that he was able to hold. Though the two soon reunite and Denji accompanies Asa back to her home.
In a heart-fluttering turn of events for shippers, Denji asks Asa out on another date, promising that he’ll teach her about how a proper date goes.
Asa accepts and Yoru notes that she’s gotten feelings for Denji.
The chapter doesn’t end there though as Yoru says that their original plan was still in the cards.
She soon takes over Asa’s body and puts her hand on Denji’s head, saying “Denji Spinal Cord Sword” as she tries to turn him into a weapon.

Chainsaw Man is no stranger to cliffhanger chapter endings, but this particular one has whipped up a frenzy among fans, with many fearing for Denji’s life.
What makes this more heartbreaking for many is how happy Denji and Asa are in the latter part of their date.
This just goes to show how Fujimoto believes that the fandom can’t have nice things.
Of course, it’s not all doom and gloom among fans as there are those who believe that Yoru won’t be able to turn Denji into a weapon.
On Reddit, many fans are talking about what might happen next. It seems the prevailing theory is that Denji will be unaffected given that he still has a devil contract.
Some also believe that Denji won’t die even if turned into a weapon.
Whatever the case may be, we won’t have to wait too long as Chainsaw Man Chapter 118 will be released on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump next week.
