Chainsaw Man by MAPPA is easily one of the most popular anime of the year. This is because the manga that it’s based on is one of Shonen Jump’s biggest recent hits.

The manga is written by Tatsuki Fujimoto and was initially serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020.

After a break, the series returned with Part 2 which began in July of this year.

As of November 2022, the series has over 20 million copies in circulation, already making it one of the bestselling manga series ever.

While most anime fans are probably already familiar with Chainsaw Man, the same can’t be said for Ground Y, as the clothing brand is only available in Japan.

Ground Y is a Japanese clothing brand under Yohji Yamamoto, a renowned Japanese fashion designer.

This brand is one of many under Yohji’s group, and it features styles that are described as genderless and ageless.

As a brand aimed at the youth, Ground Y has collaborated with several popular anime, including the likes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Chainsaw Man x Ground Y Collection, Release Date

For this latest collab, the new Ground Y collection features a range of apparel, including several t-shirts, jackets, and a pair of skirt pants.

While these items are not as expensive as Yohji Yamamoto’s main label, these pieces are still quite pricey as the cheapest t-shirt in the collab is priced at JPY 13,200 (around USD 93).

Along with apparel, the collab also features five metal accessories, including ear cuffs, earrings, and a necklace.

There’s also an exclusive Chainsaw Man pin that will be given for free to buyers of the new collection.

Interested in the collab? The Ground Y x Chainsaw Man collection will be available at a pop-up shop at Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo from November 30 to December 6.

The collection will then be released on December 16 at Ground Y stores and on the Yohji Yamamoto online shop.
