Beetlejuice 2 Set Photos Reveal First Look at Jenna Ortega's Character

Recently, we learned that Warner Bros. is officially moving forward with the long-gestated Beetlejuice 2 after decades of being stuck in development. Not only that but the majority of the main cast is also set to return in the sequel.

The film will also bring some fresh faces to the franchise including rising star Jenna Ortega, who is starring in the hit Netflix series Wednesday, as Lydia Deetz's daughter. It will also mark her second collaboration with Tim Burton.

However, ever since her casting was announced, we haven't heard any significant details about the character and there has been curiosity whether the actress will don a goth look again since she will play Lydia's daughter and is known now for the role of Wednesday Addams.

Now, we finally have our very first glimpse at Ortega's intriguing role in the sequel.

Our First Look at Jenna Ortega as Lydia's Daughter in Beetlejuice 2

Thanks to People, we finally have our first look at Ortega's character in Beetlejuice 2 thanks to the set photos that were caught from its set in Hertfordshire, England.

The Golden Globe nominee is seen wearing a wedding dress and potentially filming a wedding scene. It is definitely reminiscent of Lydia from the first movie, who also wore a wedding dress in one of its iconic scenes.

Winona Ryder was also spotted in the same series of set photos where she is sporting her character's iconic goth look along with spiky bangs. It looks like she still has the same fashion sense in the present day after all these years.

While the photos didn't give us any idea about the actual story of the film (except for the fact that there is a wedding involved again), it is still exciting since we finally have a look at Ortega's character.

What stands out in the Wednesday star's look in the film based on the set photos is that she doesn't have a goth look compared to her mother or even Wednesday Addams and it sounds like her fashion sense is similar to most young adults nowadays.

As the film's production is still ongoing and we're still more than a year away from its release, we should be hearing more news and updates about this in the coming weeks or months.
