Ah, to be young and in love. It's always interesting to see our favorite superheroes fall in love with others. In X-Men '97, we see the blooming romance between two young heroes. But are Jubilee and Roberto in love in X-Men '97? Here's what we know.

How Did Jubilee and Roberto's Relationship Start?
The chemistry between Jubilee and Roberto Da Costa has been pretty strong ever since the first episode of X-Men '97.
When the show premiered, Roberto was a new mutant that the Friends of Humanity captured. Unfortunately, he wasn't interested in being part of Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters nor training with the X-Men.
The only thing that makes him change his mind is when he meets Jubilee, who flirts with him on the dance floor. In return, he shows off his mutant powers to the teenager.

Are Jubilee and Roberto in Love?
Episode 4 of X-Men '97 focuses on the deepening relationship between the two. For her 18th birthday, the two youngsters end up hanging out at Jubilee's bedroom to play a video game.
Although Jubilee doesn't own a console, she welcomes the Motendo on her bed since she believes it was a gift from the X-Men. When they start up the game, however, they end up being transported to a video game created by the supervillain, Mojo.
The two have to battle through various levels so they can escape Rise of Jubilee. As they battle the boss level, however, Roberto is on the brink of dying.
Thankfully, Jubilee spots an Xtra (extra) life and hands it over to Roberto. When they finally get to meet the character that has been helping them all this time, they also come face-to-face with Mojo.
This is when Roberto finally uses his powers, putting an end to Mojo's schemes. As they zap out of the game, they find themselves back on the bed where they share a kiss.
So are Jubilee and Roberto in love in X-Men '97? It appears so. But it could also be crazy teenage hormones that are making them feel that way.
It's important to note that Roberto has never been part of Jubilee's list of love interests.
But who knows, Marvel could be adding him to Jubilee's list of love interests in the franchise after X-Men '97.
