Following the massive critical success of the show's freshman run, Star Wars fans are now looking forward to the upcoming second season of Andor which will also serve as its final installment.

So far, most of the details regarding the show's final season are being kept under wraps, but we learned a few weeks ago that its production was finally close to finishing.

We also know that the next season will be closer to the events of Rogue One and it is going to be set in the subsequent few years before the moment when Cassian Andor made his introduction in the movie.

There is hope from fans that the series will be able to stick the landing and, fortunately, it looks like that would be the case according to one of its stars.

Speaking recently with io9, Andor star Stellan Skarsgard, who plays Luthen Rael, was asked whether he was happy with the show's ending and where his character ended up.

He shared that he was indeed "satisfied" and gave a shoutout to showrunner Tony Gilroy's writing of the series.

"I’m satisfied where it goes, yeah. It’s such good writing and it’s Tony Gilroy, I really like to say his lines," the actor said with a bright smile.

While the actor didn't share any spoiler details about the story or his character's arc, it is still an exciting tease about the finale since it sounds like he is happy with how it all went out, and perhaps fans may also feel the same way.

It also poses the question of whether Luthen will survive the events of the series since we don't see him in Rogue One or any Star Wars stories that are set in the original trilogy.

The character has been a fan-favorite for many fans and part of it is due to Skarsgard's powerful and charismatic performance. It will be a huge loss for the series if he meets his demise in the early part of the second season.

It might take a while before we'll hear more details regarding the show's return, but it is still great to see these hints on what we can expect on Cassian's next adventure.

The second season of Andor will likely be released on Disney+ in 2025.
