Fans of the Japanese dystopian sci-fi thriller drama, Alice in Borderland, are celebrating today with news of the show's return. The big question is, who are the Alice in Borderland cast members returning in season 3?
The whole show has seen a number of deaths. And for its genre, this is pretty much expected. So of course, we can only talk about the remaining cast members who are still alive and will likely be returning in the third season.
It's also important to point out that the plot twist in season 2 surprised avid fans. That said, it's possible that some characters from season 2 could still be alive, after all.
Take note, however, that there are still unconfirmed cast members from the list as they have yet to be officially announced yet.

CONFIRMED: Kento Yamazaki as Ryōhei Arisu
Kento Yamazaki stars as the lead character in Alice in Borderland, Arisu. He has been part of the show since the first season, so it would be exciting to see him reprise his role for the third one.
Arisu is described as a gamer who doesn't feel like he fits in with his family. He later meets Usagi and develops romantic feelings for her.
CONFIRMED: Tao Tsuchiya as Yuzuha Usagi
Tao Tsuchiya has also reprised her role as Usagi and will be returning to the third season.
Usagi is described as a mountain climber who teams up with Arisu. She reciprocates her romantic feelings for him.

UNCONFIRMED: Nijirō Murakami as Shuntarō Chishiya
As one of the survivors from the second season, it is speculated that Nijirō Murakami could reprise his role as the mysterious player, Chishiya.
He teamed up with Kuina (played by Aya Asashina) to steal the deck of cards of the Hater. They do this since they believe a full deck is the key to transporting them out of the deserted city.
After helping Arisu and Usagi escape a game of tag, he becomes interested in them.
Prior to arriving in the Borderlands, Chishiya was a medical student.
UNCONFIRMED: Aya Asashina as Kuina
Kuina is a close friend of Chishiya, who was previously a clothing shop clerk. She helps Chishiya steal a deck of cards in an attempt to escape the Borderlands.
In one of the episodes, she was revealed to be transgender, which led to her father disowning her.
UNCONFIRMED: Ayaka Miyoshi as Ann Rizuna
Ann Rizuna (played by Ayaka Miyoshi) was a forensic scientist for the police. She uses her skills in rational thinking to help the group win difficult challenges.
Since she is also one of the survivors of the previous season, we're hoping to see her return to the third season.
Speculated Cast Members Who Can Return to Alice in Borderland Season 3
When Alice in Borderland season 2 first came out, it shocked its avid fans to learn that two characters were alive after all: Niragi (played by Dori Sakurada) and Aguni (Shô Aoyagi).
Because of this, we're open to the idea that some character deaths in Alice in Borderland season 2 may have a plot twist in the upcoming season.
And since Niragi and Aguni survived season two, we might see them return in the third season along with Heiya (played by Yuri Tsunematsu) and Mira Kano (played by Riisa Naka).
We'll have to wait for an official announcement on the rest of the show's cast.
In the meantime, Alice in Borderland seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
