For the past few weeks, fans have been speculating about whether Jacen Syndulla is Force-sensitive ever since he made his live-action debut in the third episode of Ahsoka where he expressed his desire to become a Jedi.

The evidence grew further during last week's fourth episode when Jacen sensed a "bad feeling" about the Eye of Sion and, as we've learned from the franchise throughout its history, that is usually a sign that a character is likely to be Force-sensitive.

Obviously, there is also the fact that Jacen's father, the late Kanan Jarrus, was a Jedi himself and we can safely assume that he may have gotten it through the bloodlines.

Now, it looks like the speculation is over as the recent fifth episode has settled the debate once and for all surrounding the young Syndulla.

In the cold open of the recent fifth episode, we saw Hera Syndulla, her son Jaden, Chopper, and the New Republic pilots including Carson Teva looking for traces of Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren in Seatos.

Hera eventually found Huyang, who expressed his sadness over how Ahsoka and Sabine didn't listen to him. Little did they know, Ahsoka was stuck in the World Between Worlds while Sabine went on board the Eye of Sion alongside Morgan Elsbeth, Baylan Skoll, and Shin Hati.

As Hera was trying to figure out where the two were, Jacen was looking at the ocean and told his mother that he was sensing something on the waves as he was hearing sounds of lightsabers (unbeknownst to them it was coming from Ahsoka and Anakin's fight in the World Between Worlds).

Hera initially dismissed her son's discovery, but as she also closed her eyes and listened to the waves, she realized that Jacen was right all along. Huyang went on to confirm that Jacen is Force-sensitive through his father Kanan.

Hera ordered the pilots to commence a search-and-rescue mission on Ahsoka and her son became the key, through the use of the Force, to tracing her whereabouts in the ocean.

Fortunately, the New Republic pilots were able to locate Ahsoka and pulled her into the Ghost.

When Ahsoka woke up sometime later after recovering, she learned that it was Jacen who traced her location, making her aware that he was also Force-sensitive like her.

This ends all the speculations that fans have been discussing for the past few weeks as we now have the definitive confirmation that Jacen is Force-sensitive just like his father.

The question now is how they will explore that in the upcoming episodes since it is inevitable that he will be trained at some point and potentially become a Jedi master like his father.

Will see Ezra Bridger train him once he returns? Is he going to be one of Luke Skywalker's students in the Jedi temple? Maybe Ahsoka herself will also train him? There are a lot of possibilities that they can explore in the future. For now, let's wait how the rest of the season unfolds.
