What Happened in Ahsoka Episode 8?
Due to her success in helping Thrawn, the Great Mothers welcome Morgan Elsbeth as one of their own and gift her the blade of Talzin, a Nightsister sword.
Now reunited with Ahsoka, Ezra constructs a new weapon for himself using parts from Kanan's old lightsaber that Huyang gives him.
Ezra, Sabine, and Ahsoka are attacked by Night Troopers whom the Nightsisters keep resurrecting with dark magick.
As Thrawn prepares to depart, Morgan Elsbeth stays behind to face Ahsoka while Ezra and Sabine rush to try and stop Thrawn's forces.
Sabine finally manages to use the Force, first at a critical moment during a battle, and then to propel Ezra on Thrawn's ship.
Ezra disguises himself as a stormtrooper and starts the journey home but Sabine chooses to stay behind and help her master.
Ahsoka kills Elsbeth and defeats the rest of Thrawn's forces with help from Sabine.
Shin Hati finds the bandits and likely joins them, while Baylan Skoll stands on giant statues of the gods of Mortis.
Sabine and Ahsoka are now stranded in Peridea, and Anakin's ghost watches them as they prepare for their next move.

How Might Ahsoka Continue? Our Predictions
Ahsoka's finale had Ahsoka and Sabine in the same position Ezra used to be in, but a similar rescue plot would probably be boring but they will probably return home at some point.
Based on Baylan's whereabouts, a reunion with Ahsoka and the Mortis gods is probable.
The miniseries did not end with Thrawn's defeat. The Grand Admiral has escaped his confinement and will likely try to create a new era of terror in the galaxy.
Grand Admiral Thrawn is one of Star Wars' best villains and even has a trilogy devoted to him.
Although the books by Timothy Zahn are no longer considered canon, killing Thrawn too soon would be a waste.
There are so many cool plotlines for the franchise to try either in Ahsoka Season 2 or in a different show.
Ahsoka Episode 9 Release Date Predictions
We do not expect an Ahsoka Episode 9 as such, given that Season 1 has now concluded.
A second season of Ahsoka is very likely, though. If this does not happen, we can see Thrawn and Ahsoka's loose threads being picked up in a different Star Wars show in the near future.
