One of the parts that Star Wars fans have been looking forward to in Ahsoka is the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, whose casting in the series was announced months before production even began.

While the people involved in the series were initially mum about the actor's return, they eventually confirmed his appearance through merchandise and other promotional materials that they released prior to the premiere.

A report also claimed that Anakin Skywalker is supposedly making his first appearance in the series during the fifth episode which is set to air next week.

However, as it turns out, the character's arrival is earlier than we expected as the recent fourth episode ended with his long-awaited arrival.

Christensen officially made his debut in Ahsoka at the end of the recent fourth episode where he showed up as the prequel trilogy-era Anakin Skywalker.

The character's return came about after an intense lightsaber battle between Ahsoka and Baylan, who talked about how Anakin spoke highly of her and then berated her for leaving her master who we know ended up becoming Darth Vader soon after.

As Baylan continued to rage and push Ahsoka further to the edge of the cliff, Sabine arrived at the base where she contemplated whether the map should be destroyed as Ahsoka wanted since she also believed that it was the only way to find Ezra.

Baylan eventually pushed Ahsoka over the edge, leaving Sabine alone to face the former Jedi. However, he talked her over not destroying the map as he offered his help to find and save Ezra using the map.

During the final moment of the episode, we saw Ahsoka waking up in the World Between Worlds and heard someone calling her by her old nickname, "Snips."

As she stood up and turned, she saw Anakin greeting her. Her former Jedi master expressed his surprise over seeing her so soon.

This is definitely an exciting ending as it sets up what will happen in the next episode which will perhaps explore their master-apprentice relationship after all these years and maybe a cathartic journey for the titular character.
